In consultation with trade unions, many operations have arranged anonymous HIV testing of employees through saliva-based tests. The company says that, in general, these programmes have been well supported and have given all the sites involved a clear understanding of the prevalence of infection in the workforce.

BHP Billiton and Eskom have wellness programmes for all employees, which obviously benefit people living with HIV.
